The OLGH SVDP chapter has two annual fund raisers. 100% of the proceeds from each event is used to provide the income necessary to provide food, shelter, clothing and other living necessities for those in need. Both events have been in existence since the founding of the OLGH chapter in 1999.

The Annual Venison Dinner

This event is usually held on a Sunday afternoon in March. It consists of a variety of "game" appetizers and entrees served over a three hour period. Between the 12+ different servings, there are raffles and activities among the participants. Typically these events are well attended with many participants returning on a regular basis.

The Annual Golf Tournament

This all day event is held in August of each year at the Foster Country Club located at 67 Johnson Road in Foster, Rhode Island. The tournament is a lowest scoring foursome event. Admission includes a continental breakfast, 18 holes of golf, and a steak dinner followed by the awarding of prizes and the naming of raffle winners.
